Expected Student Outcomes

Our goal is that the students who graduate from WCCS:


SKILLS

Possess an active relationship with Jesus Christ which is demonstrated through the fruit of the Spirit and service to God, the local church, and others.

Know, understand, and apply God’s Word in daily life.

Actively use skills to question, solve problems, and make wise decisions by thinking critically and creatively.

Know how to utilize resources – including technology – to find, analyze, and evaluate information.

Develop effective school and life skills in areas such as organization, note-taking, studying and preparation, and test taking.

Demonstrate life skills needed for life in the 21st century.

Demonstrate leadership skills in areas of service (church, school, and community).

KNOWLEDGE

Be able to defend why the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the foundation for life.

Be able to explain the Gospel and salvation in order to share it with others.

Be able to articulate and defend a Christian worldview while having a respectful understanding of the fallacies of other worldviews and faiths.

Be academically proficient and be able to express thoughts that are coherent in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking.

Demonstrate mastery in core academics.

Appreciate literature and the arts and how they express and shape beliefs and values.

Recognize God’s sovereign hand throughout history and explain how the person of Jesus Christ impacted the course of history.

DISPOSITION

Practice justice, mercy, and resolve conflict in a God-honoring way.

Respect others and live a life of integrity before family, workplace, and community.

Be committed to moral, mental, visual, and physical purity.

Understand the worth of every human being as created in the image of God and treat people with respect, dignity, grace, and truth.

Value intellectual inquiry and engage in the marketplace of ideas (open, honest exchange of ideas).

Be committed to lifelong learning and personal excellence.

Be wise stewards of their time, talents, and physical abilities.

Develop a positive work ethic, understanding that work has value and, thereby, will give their best to glorify God.
