Chapel
WCCS offers four weekly chapel services tailored to each age group: preschool, lower elementary, upper elementary, and secondary. These chapels feature a variety of speakers, including local pastors, youth pastors, children’s ministry leaders, missionaries, and WCCS staff. Each year, a central theme guides chapel messages and topics. In the secondary chapel, a student-led worship team leads students in worship.
On the last Wednesday of each month, all students come together for a special school-wide worship service (K12 Connect), building unity across all grade levels.
Connect Groups
Connect groups are a unique way for students, as well as staff from all grade levels to get to know one another, worship, and learn together, and develop as members of the school community. Throughout the school year, members of connect groups learn more about each other, serve together, cooperate to complete challenges, and develop rapport and camaraderie. Connect groups are a wonderful way to engage every member of the school community and build positive school spirit as we all work together to be more like Christ. A cross-section of the student body, PS-12, is included in each connect group. Each connect group is assigned a color and every student is provided with a Connect T-shirt in their group's color.
Small Groups
Small Groups meet weekly as an extension of WCCS’s Connect Color Groups and overall mission. During this time, students focus on prayer, Bible study, and building meaningful Christian community. Each Small Group is led by a faculty member who serves as the group’s Advisor throughout the school year. Advisors provide both spiritual and academic support, guiding students toward Christ-like character, accountability, and personal growth.
Day of Prayer
Annually, WCCS participates in the ACSI Day of Prayer, which unites Christian educators and students across the globe, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. By participating, individuals contribute to a worldwide movement of prayer, supporting Christ-centered education and encouraging spiritual growth in schools.
See You at the Pole
See You at the Pole (SYATP) is a student-led, nationwide event where students gather around their school flagpole to pray for their school, community, and nation. At WCCS, students come together in the morning for a meaningful time of prayer, worship, and encouragement, demonstrating their faith and unity in Christ. SYATP is a powerful opportunity for students to boldly live out their beliefs and support one another through prayer. This event is coordinated by the WCCS Student Council.
Student-Led Worship
Participation in the Student Worship Team provides a meaningful service opportunity for students to use their God-given gifts to lead and encourage others in worship. Students are challenged to grow spiritually while developing their vocal and/or instrumental abilities. In addition to leading weekly chapel worship, team members may serve the school and community by providing music for special events and gatherings.
