Ever Pursuing Excellence
We believe education is the foundation for a bright future. Our mission is to inspire every student to reach their full potential through a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment.
Excellence Since 1995
In 1994, two pastors shared a vision to start a traditional, community-based Christian school in the Mid-Ohio Valley that would be governed by a school board rather than tied to a single church. With support from local churches and families, property was secured in 1995, and Wood County Christian School opened that fall serving grades K4–12.
Since then, the school has grown from 175 to 281 students, adding more property and facilities. In 2002, a second building with a gym and high school classrooms was built, and a cafeteria and balcony were added in 2008.
Wood County Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in the administration of its education, admissions, scholarships, athletics, and other school-administered programs.
